| THE MECA summer program is off to a great start Eight weeks of amazing summer opportunities for all ages.  |
Things will be a bit different as you enter the school for the start of the 17-18 school year. A familiar face will be missing. Our excellent school host and administrative assistant, Mrs. Washburn, will not be returning. We will miss her wealth of knowledge, her sense of humor and her close and lasting connections with our students and families. We thank her for her years of service, dedication and commitment to our community. We wish her well in her next pursuit.

Dear Moretown School Families and Community,
It is with a heavy heart and great sadness that I will not be returning to Moretown School beginning fall 2017. I have worked at the Moretown School for 14 years as an Administrative Assistant and have served our families and students with my best efforts and intentions. Some changes in my contract within the new HUUSD has not been what I was hoping for.
After 14 years of working at Moretown, it has become a family to me. I will truly miss the staff, parents and especially the students, every day.
Thank you for the many years working with your families. I hope you enjoy your summer and the upcoming school year.

Work Continues on Rec Fields/Playground
Work continues on improving our recreational activities and spaces for everyone. We are happy to report that MRNA (Mad River Neighbors Association) has raised enough funds to continue adding elements to our new playground area. Over the next 4 weeks a sitting circle made of black locust trunks will be installed. The Moretown Recreation committee and the Moretown School continue to work to create recreation opportunities that are safe and accessible for all to enjoy. Coming next week will be a information kiosk containing trail, field and activity information regarding our wonderful town and school grounds.
