School News:

We hope everyone had a good spring break.  Mine was soggy, but certainly productive:)

STAFF SPOTLIGHTS:

“My favorite part of Moretown school is our community and how people come together to help one another.” Mrs. Dow is making a camper out of a school bus which is taking some time, but she also likes gardening, hiking, exploring, mountain biking, skiing, and camping.

Mrs. Dow has wanted to teach since 3rd and 4th grade, she said her teacher in 3rd and 4th grade made her want to teach because it looked like fun. Right now Mrs. Dow is teaching kindergarten but she’s also taught preschool, and first and second grade. Mrs. Dow's favorite subject to teach is E.C.O but she also loves to teach kids to love books. I had also asked Mrs. Dow what her favorite part of teaching was and she said the kids. Mrs. Dow is a really nice and amazing teacher.

How lucky are we that we get two PE/Health teachers this year?!? Ms. Zaino has been with us for 3 months and she is loving getting to know the students here and at WES. Her favorite thing about teaching is learning about students and what they enjoy. Her favorite school lunch is breakfast for lunch.

When she is not teaching Ms. Zaino loves to compete in sports and can often be found outdoors. Here’s some other interesting facts about her. Her favorite color is green. Her favorite animal is a rabbit. Her favorite holiday is Halloween. Her favorite snack is Cheez-its. And someday she would really like to travel to Australia. We enjoyed getting to know Ms. Zaino.

Do you know whose KIT animal is a dragonfly? It’s Ms. Michelle! Ms. Michelle has worked at Moretown School for 5 years, this is her 6th. She remembers some of the students here who were in preschool when she started. Her favorite thing about teaching is that she gets to learn with kids and everyday is different. She has taught many things in her career; preschool, yoga, reading and math. Her favorite school lunch is mac & cheese and salad.

When she is not teaching, she enjoys gardening, having tea with friends and spending time outside. She loves the colors purple and green. Her favorite animals are any type of cat or wild cat. She has a pet cat at home too. Ms. Michelle’s favorite holiday is the winter Solstice. We’re glad to have her here with us at MES!

There is someone in this building who adores the ocean and goes often, in fact her favorite color is ocean blue! Any guesses? It is Ms. Poulin, who some students call Ms. Kelly. She has been here at Moretown for 27 years and remembers her first students fondly. The thing she likes most about teaching is being with kids. She has many different editions of UNO and loves to play games with students. Her favorite school lunch is pizza.

When she is not working here at MES, she also works with younger students (before they even get to school). She also likes to go to the gym and hike. And she also loves to spend time with her family and travel. Her favorite animal is a sloth and her favorite holiday is Christmas. We are so glad that Kelly is here with us!
