Holiday Assistance Available

As the holiday season approaches, we are reaching out to families to see if we can be of assistance. The Mad River Valley Interfaith Council offers two programs to our school community.

  • Thanksgiving Turkey Baskets - Turkey with all the fixings. If you are interested in receiving one, please let us know by Friday, November 10th. The baskets can be picked up at the Waitsfield Church or delivered to your home.

  • Joys of the Season coupon booklets.  Coupon booklets are available to families to assist with local holiday shopping. The way it works is very simple. Each family that agrees to participate will receive a booklet filled with coupons that can be used to shop at local stores. The total value of the coupons is $40 per child in your family. You can present these coupons at designated stores to do your holiday shopping. The list of participating stores will be provided with the coupons. Please let us  know by November 10th if you are interested in receiving a coupon booklet so we can put in our request in to the Interfaith Council. Thank you!

Both these programs are entirely confidential. To sign up, please call or e-mail Nurse Deirdre dfennelly@wwsu.org or Miss Loretta ldimario@wwsu.org at school. If your family could use additional help for the holidays, please let us know.

All our best,
Miss Loretta and Nurse Deirdre
