Moretown Staff are some of the best. A huge shout out to them all! If you haven't checked out the Moretown Instagram page, please take a look at all the standout staff... and we're only halfway done with STAFF SPOTLIGHTS. We celebrated teacher appreciation last week, with breakfasts and a SOUP-er lunch. We don't mind being ahead of the curve and celebrating early! Thank you to the PTO and Moretown Families.
Check May Menu... it has been updated.
Pick up Patrol- Please make sure to make changes before 1:15. Teachers get an email at 1:30 with plans for each student. Thanks!
We celebrated National School Nurse Day on Friday (instead of Wednesday)... |
Do you know at MES that has been an administrative assistant, somebody who worked at a natural food store, and a daycare provider? Well I have, and she is a lunch lady for Moretown elementary school, And her name is Ms. Jeannie!
In the winter, besides school, she likes to snowboard and ice skate. In the summer she likes to hike and swim and her favorite holiday is Christmas. Also on her free time she likes to go for walks and watch movies.
Ms. Jeannie is kind hearted and thoughtful, if you don't get what you want for lunch she will try her hardest to get you what you want or something close to whatever you want.
The reason she is here working for Moretown is because she was looking for a job in the school district and the reason she likes to cook is because she likes to eat (very funny Ms. Jeannie) Thanks for reading about the one and only Ms. Jeannie!

Guess who loves cats, maybe more than anyone else at MES? It’s Mrs. Riccardi! She is also my KIT leader! She also teaches third and fourth grades. She especially loves reading and teaching reading. Her favorite school lunch is tacos. Mrs. Riccardi has worked here for 23 years. She remembers the first students she ever had here at Moretown School, they are now 32 years old!!
She loves the color pink and her favorite holiday is Christmas. And of course, her favorite animal is a cat. Here’s a picture of her cat Pumpkin. How fortunate are we to have had Mrs. Riccardi here at Moretown School!

Her favorite school lunch is pizza and she most loves to teach Reading. Her favorite color is blue. Her favorite holiday is Christmas and her favorite animal is a dog. Who is working on a beautiful mural in the library as part of a passion project? It’s Liz Harris! How fortunate are we to have Liz here with us! Liz has worked here at Moretown School for a few months, but has lots of history with MES. She attended MES when she was young and says the best thing about it then was her friends and the art teacher. Her favorite thing about teaching is the kids. Her favorite school lunch is chicken with mashed potatoes. She is spreading creativity wherever she goes!
Here are a few other things about Liz. Her favorite snack is apples with peanut butter. Her favorite holiday is Thanksgiving. She loves dogs, especially mutts. Her favorite color is blue, specifically turquoise. She is an amazing artist who notes that the best thing about making art is layering her feelings on a canvas. We’re glad to have Liz here with us.

They follow the Yellow Brick Road toward the Emerald City to meet the Wizard, and en route they meet a Scarecrow that needs a brain, a Tin Man missing a heart, and a Cowardly Lion who wants courage.
