HUUSD Survey Results are Out!
The results of the Jan/Feb school board survey are out! Please visit the Community Engagement Committee page (https://wwsu.org/community-en gagement-committee) to download and read it. Yes, we know the report is very LONG! ...but consider that over 150 pages are verbatim answers. We want to offer transparency and honor people's specific words, but if you want the "cliff notes," the first 25 pages or so will give you a good picture.
The HUUSD board would like to offer sincere thanks to everyone who participated in the survey, to everyone who will read the full report or even just the first few pages, and to everyone who will continue engaging with us as we go through this exciting and difficult challenge ahead of us.

Mad Valley Runners 2018 Open to boys and girls grades 3-6. We look forward to helping your kids develop/maintain a love of running. Parents and kids are invited join us, Mondays and Wednesdays from 2:30- 4:00 for some fun runs on the Mad River Path trails. Last year 17 students and 5 adults enjoyed our program. Having adult running partners for the kids is essential for the program's success. No experience necessary! We encourage the kids to run at a pace that is comfortable for them, take walk breaks if needed, and support their friends as they do the same. As their strength and endurance grows they find pleasure in pushing their own limits a bit. Our program is intended for kids that actually want to run during our allotted time. We will include, long runs, tag games and for those who wish, sprint races. If this appeals to your child please encourage them to sign up. Runs will begin as weather and volunteer support allows, usually in early April. There is no cost to participate. Please reach out to Joe Robinson jrobinson@wwsu.org or Clayton Wetzel cwetzel@wwsu.org with questions or your offer to run with us.
Pasta with Pipsqueaks: Sunday, April 8th, 3-5pm, at the Moretown School. Come learn to make pasta and let us clean up the mess! Making dough from scratch and creating different shapes is a great way to inspire your kids to join you in preparing dinner. Stay and enjoy the fruits of our labor with a simple dinner afterwards, as due to the challenges of transporting fresh pasta we won't be sending any home. You and your child will love the process AND the delicious result. Workshop is free however you must register by contacting moretownlibrary@ gmail.com or 496-9728. Adults without children are also more than welcome to attend.
Move it and READ!, Thursday, April 12th, 3pm, Moretown Library. Let's face it; we all get a little antsy from time to time. In this book club, we will explore the many ways that reading and movement can help guide us through the ups and downs of life. The April book will be Ms. Bixby’s Last Day by John David Anderson, which is suggested for grades 5-8 and is on the 2017 Dorothy's List. Please read the book in advance of the program and contact moretownlibrary@gmail. com or 496-9728 to register to attend.
