Registration is now open for the 2021 Spring Lacrosse Season @ www.madriverlax.com
Mad River Valley Youth Lacrosse will offer both girls and boys lacrosse again this year. There are four separate grade levels including k-2nd, 3rd-4th, 5th-6th and 7th-8th. Equipment will be provided for k-4th grade players as supplies allow. First timers are welcome at every level.
Early Registration at www.madriverlax.com is highly recommended as teams often fill to capacity. Player space is open on a first-come, first-serve basis. Team assignments will be provided by March 10, 2020. Mad River Youth Lacrosse encourages athletes who might play other spring sports to also play lacrosse. Our season is short and we try our best to accommodate other spring sports schedules.
Official outdoor practices are held at Mad River Park, beginning in Mid April, typically starting after spring break and depending on the condition of Mad River Park. Games will be held from the first week of May through mid June. Mad River Youth Lacrosse participates with mutual strong support of the Mad River Valley Recreation District. We will welcome and await their guidance as it relates to the usage of Mad River Park for our games and practices this spring. http://www.mrvrd.org/2020/04/16/recreation-opportunities-during-covid-19/ Mad River Youth Lacrosse will also follow any additional guidance from the state as it relates to their return to play guidelines prior to returning to play. https://accd.vermont.gov/ Should the pandemic continue and we are therefore unable to play we will provide refunds. For more information or to register for the 2021 season, please go to www.madriverlax.com.

Harwood chapter of the Youth Lobby
is partnering with an organization called TreePlenish to offset school paper usage by planting trees in the community.

On April 24th, 2021, volunteers will be planting trees at the homes of anyone who requests a tree. It is important to note that anyone who requests a tree who does not feel comfortable with volunteers planting the trees may choose to pick up the saplings to plant on their own, but that all volunteers will be wearing masks and social distancing and we will require homeowners to do so as well when interacting with the volunteers.

Trees will cost $5 each and we are offering both silver maples and eastern redwoods. Residents can request a tree at our website: https://www.tree-plenishevents.org/harwood

We are passionate about student agency and affecting change in our local community and want to do our part to build a more sustainable future. We hope that this event can bring awareness to our community about our impact on the climate and help encourage the community to make positive change.
