Moretown School Update February 12

Hello Moretown School Families, 

ALL SCHOOL READ

We had an all school silent reading time this past Monday.
Students and staff found a place in the hall and read a favorite or new book...  it was a great success.
Our reading time will occur each Monday at 12:15!  

  

MALAYAKA HOUSE 

The children of first and second grade at Moretown School are selling beautiful, hand printed all-occasion cards to raise money for the children of Malayaka House.  Malayaka House is an orphan home for 44 children in Entebbe, Uganda.  One year of tuition is approximately $600 and when you add transportation and school uniforms in, the total is $900.  100 % of your contributions will go to Malayaka House.  All contributions are tax deductible. Please make checks  out directly to Malayaka House.   It is OK to send cash too – we will collect and write one check.  

Each $10 donation will receive a package of 5  cards – the cards will be decorated with heart designs such as are pictured below and can be used anytime – thank you cards, get well soon cards and even for Valentine's Day Week - (February 15 - 19)   Each card will come with an envelope and a label on the back indicating that it was purchased in support of the children of Malayaka House.  All checks/money can be brought to the first and second grade classrooms.

PTN Meeting announced!

The PTN will hold their next meeting on February 15, at 6:30 at the school. Topics include, Ski program review, spring activities and fundraisers. The meeting is open to everyone. Come and be a part of the process!!
