What and where is the Children’s Room?

The Children's Room is a free playspace for children ages 0-6, parents, grandparents and caretakers in Brookside Primary School in Waterbury. Our space is not yet open due to covid concerns, but we are very hopeful that we will be able to go in at some point this school year.  In the meantime, we are doing outdoor playgroups! The Children’s Room supports families with young children by providing a space to build an informal network of peers, access local resources, and the ability to visit a free, fun and safe place to socialize! Children, parents, grandparents and caregivers come to "the room" to play, meet people, share stories, familiarize themselves with a school setting, better understand childhood development, and get to know the Central Vermont community!
